TIC Academy Qualifications and Micro Credentials:

The scope of some TIC Academy courses are extremely wide and therefore, whilst presented as a 'stand-alone Module or course in their own right, they are also intended to provide a broad overview of technical concepts and sectoral management applications. This principle is intended to increase the awareness of the student and expose learners to a wider understanding of research based outcomes, and some of the possible uses of various applications in various industries.

With all TIC Academy courses there is a requirement for the Student to increase further knowledge on the subjects provided, through external reading and further learning for extended self-development, this is where a CPD rating is provided, which goes beyond that of the course itself. It is recommended that the course completion time (expressed in hours expended not lapsed), and any extra curricular learning (CPD rating), be added together when claiming CPD for external and ongoing professional registration recognition.
