Compliance:

We will comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to modern slavery and human trafficking in the jurisdictions in which we operate. LPB and The TIC Academy will also adhere to international standards and guidelines, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Labour Organisation's conventions.

Risk Assessment and Due Diligence:

LPB and The TIC Academy will conduct regular risk assessments to identify and evaluate the potential risks of modern slavery within our operations and supply chain. 6. Accreditation Policy Statement


Life People Business Limited (LPB) and The TIC Academy Limited recognise the importance of maintaining high standards of quality and credibility in our training programs. As a research and development organisation, LPB draws its content from peer-reviewed research, adhering to rigorous academic standards and methodologies. Similarly, The TIC Academy utilises research-led courses developed by drawing from the knowledge, experience, and qualifications of its Patron and Founder, including high fellowships of professional institutions and personal credentials up to Level 8.

Principles:

Research-led Approach: LPB and The TIC Academy prioritise the use of peer-reviewed research in the development of training programs. This ensures that our courses are based on the latest industry insights and best practices.

Founder's Expertise: Accreditation of our training programs is, to a certain extent, vested in the 40 years of experience in the TIC Sector, underpinning expertise and professional credentials of our Patron and Founder. With extensive qualifications and professional affiliations to Level 8, the Patron's management, technical and editing expertise, serves as an overarching hallmark of quality for our courses.

Bespoke Course Development: The TIC Academy's courses are bespoke, tailored to address specific needs and challenges within the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) sector and are constantly updated to reflect latest best practice. As such, there are only limited external accreditation standards, against which these courses can be measured.

Transparency: LPB and The TIC Academy is committed to transparency in accreditation. Any reseller branded courses offered by the Academy will clearly state their accreditation status within the course description, ensuring learners are informed of the credentials associated with each course.

Implementation:

·       LPB and The TIC Academy will continue to uphold the highest standards of quality and excellence in our training programs, guided by the principles outlined in this policy statement.

·       Accreditation decisions for LPB's research outputs will be based on the rigor and integrity of the research process, adherence to academic standards, and contribution to the advancement of knowledge in the TIC sector.

·       The TIC Academy will continue to develop bespoke courses that leverage the Founder's expertise and draw from peer-reviewed research, ensuring that our training programs remain at the forefront of industry innovation.

External Accreditation:

The TIC Academy Ltd is Accredited by The E-Learning Quality Network (ELQN), an independent third party accreditation body, and is recognised as an Accredited Institution which includes its online Business School and its courses for Registered Practitioner awards.

Also for CPD Approval of core training modules, underpinning elements of its Registered Practitioner Scheme, and certain key learning content, LPB - TIC Academy™ works in Corporate partnership with SOE a Professional Body for Engineering and Operations Management (PEI), itself operating under Engineering Council Royal Charter (an Instrument of incorporation granted by H.R.H. the King of The United Kingdom and Northern Ireland), ensuring pedigree chain of custody for engineering and operations professionals.

Review and Evaluation:

This Accreditation Policy will be periodically reviewed and evaluated to ensure its effectiveness and alignment with the evolving needs of LPB and The TIC Academy.

7. TIC Academy Certificates


Introduction

Upon successful course completion, The TIC Academy issues downloadable electronic certificates (e-certificates), each bearing a unique reference number for traceability and validation purposes. 

Policy Statement

For professional education and CPD courses, The TIC Academy shall ensure its certificates continue to be representative of the course undertaken and bear information that is appropriate to the course of study. These shall be issued through The TIC Academy Platform upon successful course completion.

For those enrolling as Registered Practitioners through the LPB Patreon channel, formal e-certificates of registration are issued by email, after thorough checking to ensure all applicable registration criteria and terms have been met. 

Ownership

All certificates remain the property of LPB and The TIC Academy Limited, and are issued subject to its Terms of use and Professional Code for Registrants.

Verification of Awards

Verification of Professional Education, CPD, and Registered Practitioner Certificate authenticity, is available from the TIC Academy via email at [email protected]

8. Support & Complaint Resolution Policy


Seeking Support

Step 1: Accessing Support

  • Users can seek support through multiple channels, including email, phone, and the TIC Academy website.
  • For immediate assistance, users are encouraged to visit the FAQ section on the website, which addresses common issues.

Step 2: Submitting a Support Request

  • If the FAQ section does not resolve the issue, users can submit a support request via the online contact form or by emailing [email protected].
  • Provide a detailed description of the issue, including any relevant screenshots or documentation.

What to Expect

  • Users will receive an acknowledgment of their request within 36 hours.
  • A support representative will be assigned to the case and will follow up within 48 hours with either a resolution or an update on the status of the request.
  • Complex issues may take longer to resolve, but users will be kept informed of progress.

Filing a Complaint

Step 1: Submitting a Complaint

  • Complaints can be filed by filling out the complaint form available on the TIC Academy website or by emailing [email protected].
  • Include detailed information about the complaint, any relevant documentation, and desired resolution.

Step 2: Processing the Complaint

  • Upon submission, users will receive an acknowledgment of the complaint within 36 hours.
  • The complaint will be reviewed by the Customer Relations team, who will initiate an investigation.
  • Users may be contacted for additional information or clarification during the investigation process.

Step 3: Resolution

  • The investigation process typically takes 7-14 business days, depending on the complexity of the issue.
  • Once the investigation is complete, users will receive a written response detailing the findings and any corrective actions that will be taken.
  • If the resolution is not satisfactory, users can escalate the complaint to senior management by replying to the initial response.

Expected Resolution

  • TIC Academy aims to resolve all complaints fairly and promptly.
  • Potential resolutions may include an apology, a course credit, a refund (in exceptional circumstances), or changes to internal processes to prevent future issues.

Appeal Process

  • If users are unsatisfied with the resolution, they can request an appeal by emailing [email protected].
  • The appeal will be reviewed by senior management, and a final decision will be communicated within 28 business days.
